REGISTRATION FOR THE 2021 SHIPSHEWANA ROAD RUN IS NOW OPEN!
7On Saturday, May 8th, 2021, the Shipshewana Road Run will be taking place as part of Shipshewana's Annual Mayfest celebration. The event will feature two races designed for runners of all ages and experience levels.
We will kick things off at 8:15 a.m. with the 1 Mile Fun Run. The race will begin at 345 North Morton Street at the Wolfe Building. From there, they will head North on the newly completed Morton Street extension to North Village Drive. They will turn right onto Village Drive and continue to the Shipshewana Fitness Center, which is the turn-around point. The runners will then head back to the finish line, which is also where they originally started. Prizes will be awarded to the top three boys and girls, and all kids will take home a goody bag. At 8:30 am, the 5K Shipshewana Road Run begins at 345 North Morton Street at the Wolfe Building. The 5K race is designated for anyone over 13 years of age. Immediately following the race, prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women overall, and the top three in each age division. Both races will be electronically timed, and walkers are welcome in each. Free snacks and drinks will also be available before and after the race for all participants. Pre-registration is encouraged and will be open until 11:59am on May 7th, 2021. Pre-registration cost is $8 for the 1 Mile Fun Run and $15 for the 5K. Registration will also be available the morning of the race for $10 and $20 respectively. Everyone who per-registers will be guaranteed a race T-shirt. Pre-registration ends Friday, May 7th at 12:00pm. All those who register the morning of the race will receive T-shirts while supplies last. Registration and check-in for both races will be at the 345 North Morton Street (The Wolfe Building) Please arrive early to register and to receive your shirt and bib number. |
