The course is flat and run on asphalt, grass and trail. The race tours many landmarks that Shipshewana is known for,
including the Shipshewana Auction & Flea Market, Menno Hof, The Blue Gate Restaurant, The Davis Mercantile, Hubbard Feed Mill,
and the old Farver School. Runners will also run a short stretch on the old Shipshewana-Scott High School track and a 1/2 mile
section of the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail, an old railroad bed that is being converted to a public use trail.

Whether you're a kid in the fun run or just enjoying a nice walk, the 1 mile
course also provides a nice tour of Shipshewana. Strolling it will provide a glimpse of
Downtown Shipshewana, The Blue Gate Restaurant, quaint shops on Harrison Street, The Davis
Mercantile, and Hubbard Feed Mill. |
